What you send us

When you ask for a quote, you give us your name and phone number. You can also add an email address, your town, what you want cleaned, photos and notes, and tell us how you heard about us.

We use this to reply to you, give you a quote, schedule the work and keep a record of the job. Photos are resized in your browser before they are sent, which also removes hidden location data from the photo file.

How we count visits

Our website counts visits in its own simple way. It records which page was viewed, which button was tapped (for example Call or Text), which website or link sent you here, and whether you are on a phone or a computer.

It does not use cookies. It does not record your name, phone number, email or exact location, and we do not store your IP address in our records.

To group the pages you view in one visit, your browser keeps a random code that is deleted when you close the tab. Your browser also remembers, for up to 90 days, how you first found us (for example Google or a yard sign), so that if you send a quote request later we know which of our listings or signs is working.

When you send a quote request

We attach that visit information, the page you came from and how you found us, to your request.

When we do a job

We keep a record of the job. We may take before and after photos of the work.

We show job photos on this website or our Facebook page only with your permission, and never with your address.

If you accept a quote online

If we send you a quote link and you accept it, we record the name you type and the time you accepted.

Calls and texts

When we text you, the message comes from the phone of the person at Blue Oak Home Services who is helping you. We don't use an automated texting service.

If you would rather not get texts, tell us and we will only call.

Who else handles it

Our website runs on Netlify, which stores the site's data and the quote requests for us and emails us a copy of each request. If you tap Call or Text, your phone's own app takes over.

If you came from one of our Google ads, Google receives the ad click code as described under Google ads.

If you tap our Facebook, Messenger or Google review links, those companies' privacy policies apply once you are on their pages. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their marketing.

Google ads

We advertise on Google. When you click one of our Google ads, Google adds a click code to the link that brings you to our site. Our site keeps that code in your browser for up to 30 days.

If you then send us a quote request, or tap Call or Text on your phone, we keep the click code with that request or tap. Once a day we send Google a list of those click codes, each with what happened and when, for example a quote request, or later a booked job and its dollar amount. This tells Google which of our ads bring in real work, so we spend less on ads that don't.

We never send Google your name, phone number, email, address, photos or anything you type. Our site does not load any Google advertising code and does not set cookies. We delete click codes from our records after 100 days.

If you call us straight from one of our Google ads, the call goes through a Google phone number that forwards to ours, so Google can tell us that a call happened, when, how long it lasted and the caller's area code.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, our site does not keep the click code.

How long we keep it

Visit records are deleted after 90 days. After that we keep only totals, such as the number of visits to each page.

The email copy of each quote request is deleted after 90 days. We keep quote requests and job records for as long as we need them for the work and for our business records.

Ask us and we will delete your photos or your request if we did not do a job for you.

Your choices

You can ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or text us at (925) 708-4883. We may need to confirm it is you before we change anything.

Do Not Track

Our site does not load any tools that follow you across other websites. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, our site also does not keep a Google ad click code.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on their homes or businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this page, we will update the date at the top.
