Pressure washing in Discovery Bay, CA
Discovery Bay, CA is one of the closest waterfront towns to our base. Here we pressure wash driveways and patios and soft wash houses and tile roofs.
From our base in Brentwood, the drive is about 8.2 miles, or around 13 minutes without traffic.1
It's not a city. It's an unincorporated town in East Contra Costa County, so building permits go through the county.23
We serve the whole town: Discovery Bay West (Village 1), The Lakes, Lakeshore, Ravenswood, Newport Pointe and the homes by the country club.

The town began in 1964 as a planned community on man-made waterways. Many homes have their own docks on the Delta.2
Not every home is on the water, though. The Town's map also shows a golf course and inland streets.4
About 9 in 10 homes are single-family houses. About 9 in 10 are lived in by their owners.5
Named waterways on the Town's map include Indian Slough, Dredgers Cut, Willow Lake and Lido Bay.4
The typical Discovery Bay home was built in 1995.5
For your home: Waterfront lot or inland street, say which when you ask for a quote. Water close by changes how a wash has to be planned.
Hard well water
Keep wash water out of the Delta
Storm drains carry water to creeks, the Bay and the Delta untreated.8
In July 2024 the State Water Board posted a danger advisory here. Tests had found harmful algal blooms at several spots in town.9
So before anyone washes near the water, ask where the wash water will go. Our guide explains the county rules.
For your home: Point out the storm drains on your street and any low spot that drains toward a waterway.
Patios and walkways near the water
If your yard runs down to the water, ask about patio, deck and walkway cleaning in Discovery Bay. Tell us where the nearest drains are and how close the water is.
For your home: Take one photo from the house toward the water, so we can see the slope and where runoff would go.
Questions and answers
Where should wash water go at a waterfront home?
Never into a storm drain or the water. The county tells mobile cleaners to block storm drains and collect the wash water. Only soap-free rinse water should go into plants and lawns. Ask any washer how they'll handle it before they start.8
